ΔΕΚΑ ΔΙΑΛΕΞΕΙΣ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΠΑΙΔΕΙΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΑΓΓΛΙΚΗ ΓΛΩΣΣΑ!Ο Οργανισμός για την Διάδοση της Ελληνικής Γλώσσας (ΟΔΕΓ)* σε συνεργασία με την Διεθνή Ελληνική Ένωση «INTERNATIONAL HELLENIC ASSOCIATION» (IHA)**, δημιουργούν γέφυρες επικοινωνίας σε όλο τον κόσμο με Έλληνες και με ξένους και με την διδασκαλία της Ελληνικής Παιδείας στην αγγλική γλώσσα, μέσω της Διαδικτυακής Πλατφόρμας «ZOOM», από τις 9 Απριλίου έως 11 Ιουνίου 2022.
Ήδη τα μαθήματα αυτά έχουν γίνει με μεγάλη επιτυχία στα δύο προηγούμενα εξάμηνα στην Ελληνική Γλώσσα.
Παρακαλούνται οι έχοντες συγγενείς ή διασυνδέσεις με αγγλόφωνους που ενδιαφέρονται για την Ελληνική Παιδεία, να προωθήσουν την παρούσα αναγγελία.

«HELLENIC (GREEK) EDUCATION»
A 10 week online Zoom course offering a fresh approach to educational theory based on the ancient philosophies of Plato and Aristotle.
Students will be enriched by the lectures offered by Dr John Hatzopoulos as they gain an appreciationof the Principles of Balance as developed by the ancient Greek philosophers, Plato and Aristotle. Students will also be able to apply their understanding of the principles by reading selected works of world literature in English translation (and English) and discuss the concepts in an online group forum.
Class sessions will be held every Saturday starting April 9th 2022. The first session will be from 8:30-10PM Greek time or GMT +2 (1:30 pm Eastern Standard time US).
The series of lectures/workshops are offered by the Hellenic Teaching Committee of the International Hellenic Association - IHA - and the Organization for the Promotion of the Greek Language – ΟΔΕΓ.
A minimum of a 10th grade education is required and the course is open to all English speakers.
All materials will be provided free of charge and are available on the internet or by email.
Minimum attendees are 5 and maximum are 15.
First come first served.

If we wish for peace and quality in life, we should educate ourselves to follow the natural rule of balance and according to Plato make a continuous effort to maintainan internal balance to develop sufficient logic (reasoning) to balance our desires and anger. Furthermore, according to Aristotle, we must develop an external balance so that our thoughts and actions are not deficient or excessive but follow the mid-space of virtue. These basic concepts of Hellenic education and the sense of beauty are covered in this class. Therefore, on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm Greek time, we start a weekly ZOOM online class of 10 lessons for Hellenic Education. The lessons are offered every Saturday, from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm Greek time, and those who have at least a 10-grade secondary school education and wish to attend can beaccepted first come first served. The lessons are free of charge and are offered by the Hellenic Teaching Committee of the International Hellenic Association - IHA - and the Organization for the Promotion of the Greek Language – ODEG – (ΟΔΕΓ). Procedure: 30-minute lecture, 60-minute discussion, and workshop.
Workshop:Startsbydiscussing questions regarding the lecture. Then a text assignment from the international literature is discussed. The discussion involves identifying the internal and external balance disturbances occurring in the characters in the text and the resulting consequences.
Notice: The lectures use elementary mathematics and statistics to analyze philosophical structures. The idea is to expand the ability of the human mind to understand the philosophical structures covered in the lectures. Therefore, the workshop does not use mathematics.
